When assembling the pin coupling, first use a fine iron emery cloth to smooth the shaft hole of the shaft, belt pulley or coupling, align the pulley or coupling with the keyway and set it on the shaft, and pad it with wrought iron or hardwood. At one end of the key, gently tap the key into the groove.The key should be properly tight in the groove. Too tight or too loose will damage the key and groove, and too loose will cause the belt to slip or vibrate.
When disassembling the pin coupling, mark the position between the pulley or coupling and the rotating shaft first, unscrew the factory fixing screws and pins, and then slowly pull it out with a puller.If you can't pull it out, you can pour some kerosene into the inner hole and pull it out.If you still can’t pull it out, you can quickly heat it around the pulley or coupling with a flash of fire. At the same time, wrap the shaft with a damp cloth and continuously pour cold water to prevent heat from entering the motor.
The factors that cause damage to the high pin coupling are as follows:
1. The main reason is that the vibration damper of the main engine has sunk, which makes the shafting of the coupling appear asymmetry, thereby increasing the additional torque, which makes the highly elastic coupling in use At that time, there was a breakage accident due to heat.
2. When couplings are used, the equipment in the shafting system, such as diesel engines, gearboxes, shafting and high-elastic couplings, must complement each other in design and use, and the level of design and manufacturing is relatively high. The quality of the ship designed in this way is also very high.
3. Because the scope of use of couplings is relatively wide, they are widely used in many industries.It may be improperly used in specific situations, or it may be used without consideration. This will also cause the coupling to be damaged during use.
