  Drum gear coupling is a new type of gear coupling developed on the basis of spur gear coupling, digesting and absorbing foreign advanced technology.It is composed of an outer gear sleeve with a drum-shaped tooth thickness and a matching inner gear ring that connects two shafts. It is suitable for heavy-duty and two-axis transmission that requires axis displacement compensation.

  Under normal circumstances, it is required that the two shafts to be connected are completely concentric, and it is impossible to continue to maintain the concentric state during operation. Because of installation errors, bearing wear, force deformation, foundation sinking, etc., the axis produces radial and Angular displacement.The drum gear coupling has the characteristics of compensating the above displacement, reduces the additional load caused by the axis displacement, improves the working stability and reliability of the transmission device, and thus prolongs the service life of the transmission device.

  In recent years, drum-shaped gear couplings in many industries have been widely used, from high-speed turbine units to medium and low-speed heavy metallurgy, mining, lifting and transportation equipment, and a large number of applications have also formed their own standard series.   Internal and external development trends

  With the continuous development of technology, more and more drum-shaped gear couplings require high-precision, heavy-duty hard tooth surface.

  The main parts of the heavy-duty high-precision drum gear coupling are made of low-carbon alloy high-quality steel, which is milled and ground after heat treatment, with high machining accuracy, and the depth of the heat-treated carburized layer is guaranteed by numerical control equipment.

  Four steps to choose a coupling:

  1. Select the variety and type of i-bearing coupling:

  Understand the comprehensive function of the coupling (especially the flexible coupling) in the transmission system, and choose the type and type of the coupling from the overall design of the transmission system.According to the prime mover category and working load category, working speed, transmission accuracy, two-axis offset conditions, temperature, humidity, working environment and other comprehensive factors to select the type of coupling.Select the structure of the coupling according to the needs of the supporting host. When the coupling is used in conjunction with the brake, a coupling with a brake wheel or a brake disc should be selected; when overload protection is required, the coupling should be selected; When connecting with flanges, the flange type should be selected; for long-distance transmission, when the axial size of the connection is large, it is appropriate to choose the intermediate shaft type or the intermediate sleeve type;

  2. Adjust the model according to the shaft diameter:

  The initially selected coupling dimensions of the bearing coupling, that is, the shaft hole diameter d and the shaft hole length L, should meet the requirements of the shaft diameters of the driving and driven ends, otherwise the coupling specifications must be adjusted according to the shaft diameter d.It is a common phenomenon that the shaft diameters of the driving and driven ends are different. When the torque and speed are the same, and the shaft diameters of the driving and driven ends are different, the coupling model should be selected according to the larger shaft diameter.In the newly designed transmission system, the seven shaft hole types specified in GBT3852 should be selected, and the J1 shaft hole type is recommended to improve versatility and interchangeability. The shaft hole length is in accordance with the i-bearing coupling product standard. .

  3. Choose standard coupling:

  When choosing a coupling, the designer should first choose from the couplings that have been formulated as standards, mechanical industry standards, and patented couplings. Only when the existing standard couplings and patent ina bearing couplings cannot meet the design needs Need to design the coupling by yourself;

  4. Torque calculation of bearing coupling:

  The power of the power machine in the transmission system should be greater than the power required by the work machine.According to the power and speed of the power machine, the theoretical short moment T of the high-speed end connected to the power machine can be calculated; according to the working condition coefficient K and other related coefficients, the calculated torque Tc of the coupling can be calculated.
